What are superfoods?
Superfoods are highly dense foods that pack a big punch of nutrients into every bite. They come in many forms, like fruits, veggies, seeds, nuts, and herbs. What makes them unique is that each of these has a high ratio of nutrients & vitamins in relation to the number of calories.
Here at Green Valley Superfoods, we only use plant-based superfoods because they're not only good for us, but also good for the planet. Each superfood is special in its own way, offering unique benefits like complete proteins in hemp protein powder and omega-3s in chia. Some superfoods provide unique or rare nutrients like curcumin in turmeric, L-theanine in matcha & anthocyanins in aronia.
What makes Green Valley superfoods different?
Growing Organic for Generations to Come
Green Valley Superfoods recognizes the importance of agriculture in building a strong society, that's why we are dedicated to collaborating with smallholder organic farms to support local economies and communities in the regions where we operate. By purchasing our ethically sourced, organically grown superfoods, you are also supporting our growers and the efforts of small-scale farmers worldwide.
Simple Drying For Long Shelf Life
We believe in preserving the nutritional integrity of our superfoods by using the most effective drying methods. Low-temperature drying, such as freeze-drying or air-drying, may be more time-consuming and costly, but it ensures that the majority of nutrients are retained from the original fruit or vegetable. Making sure you have the highest nutritional product.
These drying methods eliminate water and extend the shelf life of our superfoods from 2 weeks to up to 2 years, so you can enjoy the benefits of our superfoods for months to come.

What are anthocyanins?
Anthocyanins are a type of flavonoid, a class of naturally occurring plant pigments. They are responsible for the red, purple, and blue colors in many fruits, vegetables, and flowers. They are found in high concentrations in fruits such as berries, grapes, goji, and pomegranates, as well as in vegetables like purple cauliflower and red cabbage. Studies have shown that anthocyanins have powerful antioxidant properties and may help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
They also have anti-inflammatory properties and may be beneficial for brain health and cognitive function.

What are the benefits of organic food?
Organic food is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It is also often grown using sustainable farming practices. These factors can lead to healthier soil, less pollution, and higher levels of nutrients in the food.
How long will my organic superfoods last?
Freeze-drying or low-temperature drying is a preservation method that removes water from food, which can extend its shelf life. This process can keep food fresh for up to 2 years, making it a convenient option for long-term storage.
Freeze-drying involves freezing the food and then removing the ice crystals through a process called sublimation. This leaves behind a lightweight, crisp product that retains its shape, color, and most of its original nutritional content. When rehydrated, the food will have a texture and taste similar to fresh food.
Low-temperature drying, also known as dehydrating, involves removing water from food through evaporation. The food is placed in a dehydrator at low temperatures, which preserves the food's nutritional content and extends its shelf life. The dried food will have a chewy texture and a concentrated flavor.
Both of these preservation methods are effective in maintaining the nutritional value, texture, and taste of the food. They are also a great option for those who are looking for a more sustainable and easy way of preserving food.
Should I store the product in the fridge or freezer?
You don't have to worry about storing them in the fridge or freezer as our products can last for long periods of time at room temperature. Our products are packaged in BPA-free ziplock pouches for easy access and convenient storage.
We recommend keeping the products in a pantry at stable environment, away from direct sunlight. This will ensure that the products maintain their freshness and nutritional value for as long as possible.
